How is this for a Throwback Thursday nugget today?  The song “This is Why I’m Hot” by Mims was the number one song in the country 10 years ago this week.

Yeah, the great lyrics of “This is why I’m hot/I’m hot cause I’m fly/You ain’t cause you’re not” were being heard everywhere the week of March 10, 2007.

The song would go on to stay at the top spot on the Billboard chart for 2 weeks before being replaced by Fergie and Ludacris’ "Glamorous" later in March 2007.

Mims has not really released music since 2009.
