Would you trust Snoop Dogg with the cooking on Thanksgiving Day?  After reading this blog your answer will be a firm “hell yes” or “hell no.”  There’s no in between here.

First of all – did you even know Snoop could cook?  I mean, I knew he was friends with Martha Stewart but just because you’re friends with Lebron James doesn’t mean you could score 40 points on the Denver Nuggets.  The answer is yes.  Yes, Snoop can cook.  He even has his own cook book called, “From Crook to Cook.”

One thing that becomes apparent in the book is Snoop loves oranges.  He talks about how Martha uses lemon in a lot of her recipes and he likes to sub them out for oranges since they’re always in his fridge and he likes the taste.  Dude even suggests adding orange juice to your turkey gravy!  I don’t know about that one, bruh.

Another interesting suggestion from the Doggfather is to add mayo to your mashed potatoes.  This sounds weird, but kind of great.  I mean, it’s basically like a creamy potato salad then, right?  Here’s the recipe for his “M.O.P:  Mash Out Potatoes”:

4lb Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered

4 tbsp. unsalted butter

2 ½ cups heavy cream

½ cup mayo

Freshly ground pepper

Bring salted water to a boil, add spuds, cook on medium high heat for about 20-25 minutes, drain and cover.  Melt butter in pot on medium heat, add the cream and mayo then whisk.

Put the potatoes back in the pot, mash it all up then season with salt and pepper.

Personally, I trust anyone who has the munchies as often as Snoop Dogg in the kitchen.  Stoners know how to eat.
