The yearly release of the Madden video game was like a holiday for me back in the day.  Take a couple of days off of work, line up at Game Stop for the midnight release, chug around 200 ounces of Red Bull before finally passing out around 11am the next day after truck sticking fools and scrambling past defenders with the human cheat code, Michael Vick.

Madden 20 drops on Friday, August 2nd and the scene will be similar except Michael Vick is out of the league and you can download it instead of going to a brick and mortar in your pajamas when most people are sleeping.

The game itself is fairly similar each year aside from a few tweaks here or there - but one thing that does change is the soundtrack.  Soundtracks are a big deal in sports games.  You have to have a nice balance of records that won’t drive players crazy every time they fire it up on their Playstation or Xbox.  Sports game soundtracks usually have a blend of different genres, mainstream artists and underground bangers.  By the looks of it, the Madden 20 soundtrack checks all those boxes.  Here’s what you’ll hear as you lead the Seahawks to another (virtual) Super Bowl:

Token – No Game

THEY. & Dillon Francis – Till I Die

Stro & Dave East – Lace Up

Snoop Dogg – Madden 20

Sage The Gemini – Big Numbers

Rico Nasty – Time Flies

Reuben Vincent – No Problems

Play-N-Skills f. Desiigner, Yella Breezy – Wrist

P-Lo – Going Big

Oliver Tree – All Bets Are Off

Lil Skies – Magic

Joey Bada$$ - Incredible

Jay Park & Hit Boy – 20/20

Jay Critch – I’m A Star

IDK – 24

Hit-Boy f. Saweetie – No L’s

Grip – 100yd Dash

Eearz – Photo Reel

Don Toliver f. Wiz Khalifa – Back Up

DJ Shadow f. De La Soul – Rocket Fuel

Denzel Curry – Shawshank

Beau Young Prince – Move The Chains
