How Much Does It Cost To Run A Commercial During The Super Bowl?

Big business is banking on a gazillion people putting eyes on their products and services on Super Bowl Sunday.  Networks spend a ton of dough for the rights to carry the game and it shows.  CBS is charging a record setting amount for a 30 second spot – $5.25 million.

That’s just the cost of airing your commercial.  Once you factor in the additional dollars companies are spending on production, talent and more, that’s a huuuuge investment.  That might explain why more commercials have been released online this year in advance of the game.  Gotta get the buzz going early when you’re dropping that kind of coin.  Here are a few of the (very expensive) spots you’ll see on Sunday:
