Ashanti And Ja Rule Set To Work On Joint Album

It's about time!

June 26, 2018

Jay Z and Beyon- excuse me.  “The Carters” dropped a surprise joint album that debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts.  Jay and Bey are a natural hip hop and r&b pairing built for success.  They’re both on the Mount Rushmore of their respective genres. They’ve each sold about 38 billion records over the years.  The whole being married thing really helps with song chemistry too, but.  BUT.  They are NOT the peanut butter and jelly sandwich of music.

Your peanut butter, my friends, is none other than Ja Rule.  Your jelly?  You don’t need me to say it.  You already know it’s Ashanti.  Despite all of their collaborations lighting up the charts, it’s hard to believe they’ve never gone all out on a joint album.  The “Irv Gotti Presents: The Inc.” album doesn’t count.  Just Ja and Ashanti.  That’s what the world needs in 2018.  Not a space army.

Looks like it is indeed in the works!  Ashanti confirmed it while talking to Entertainment Tonight at the BET Awards over the weekend.  “We’re gonna carve out the time and make it happen.”  Hell yeah!
