This time next year we might look back at 2019 as the greatest year in television history.  New seasons of Game of Thrones and Stranger Things are enough to get most people jazzed up if you’re a watcher of tube, but there are new programs to look forward to as well.  Those are the shows I’ll be focusing on here.

4.  Black Monday (Showtime) – Wall Street shows and movies are almost always home runs.  Add in Don Cheadle’s porn ‘stache and Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg producing and there’s 0% chance this show sucks.

3.  The Umbrella Academy (Netflix) – I’m not familiar with the comic this show is based on but the cast is pretty dope (Mary J. Blige!!).  Should also be interesting to see how Netflix handles a comic book show not based on a Marvel property.

2.  Hanna (Amazon) – I'm going to be honest.  This trailer doesn't look great but I really enjoyed the movie that came out in 2011 so I'm hoping this is a hit.  If not, Prime Video really seems to be stepping it up in 2019 with some good looking projects.  P.S. Homecoming, starring Julia Roberts, was one of my fav shows of 2018.  If you have Prime Video check it out.

1.  The Twilight Zone (CBS All Access) – It’s been roughly 274 years since the original show aired so bringing it back now seems fair to me.  The original series was great, but with a fresh coat of paint and Jordan Peele hosting I guess I’m ready to give CBS my money and finally get an All Access account.
