Apparently, this last year played out exactly how Khalid dreamed it up.

The 19-year-old, soulful Texas native broke onto the scene with a pair of hits, "Location" and "Young Dumb & Broke," off his critically acclaimed debut album, American Dream. The Certified Platinum record peaked at number 4 on the charts, with both "Location" hitting #2 on the U.S. R&B charts and "Young Dumb & Broke" hitting #1.

Back in March, we first introduced you to the rising star as one to keep an eye on. Since then, Khalid has become a household name, winning the MTV VMA Award for best new artist, performing with Imagine Dragons at the American Music Awards, going viral with a stunning cover of SZA's "Love Galore," and picking up a handful of Grammy nominations.

We can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for this budding star!
