Justin Timberlake Drops *NSync Diss in New Interview

By Joe Hyer

February 8, 2017

Looking forward to an *NSync reunion? Don’t hold your breath. Justin Timberlake’s recent (subtle) jabs against the band suggest that a reunion won’t be happening anytime soon. OK, well, the reunion probably was never happening anyway. Timberlake, however, was pretty candid about some creative differences that the band faced in the early '00s.

Speaking about the band’s hiatus (because the band technically never “broke up” in 2002), Timberlake implied that other members of the band didn’t care about their music as much as he did.

"I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart,” he told The Hollywood Reporter for a new cover story.

Hmm… So who do we think JT was throwing shade at from the band? Was it JC, Joey, Chris or Lance?

Last summer Lance Bass told the “Allegedly” podcast that *NSync originally planned on getting back together after Timberlake’s first solo project, but JT's solo career blew up too quickly.

Timberlake is up for both a GRAMMY and Oscar for the Trolls song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” this year.
