19-year-old rapper Kodak Black could be out of prison sooner than his expected July 20 release date, at least according to his new laywer.

Kodak, born Dieuson Octave, was found guilty of violating house arrest back in April and sentenced to one year in jail. However, during sentencing the judge told Octave that he could have his sentence reduced to 180 days if he completed a life skills course. Earlier this week, Octave's lawyer, Bradford Coden, released a statement to The Sun Sentinel indicating that the "Skrt" rapper has enrolled in the course.

A series of legal troubles has already cost Kodak Black a spot on Future's highly anticipated Nobody's Safe tour this summer. Despite the string of lowlights, Black relased his debut studio album. Painting Pictures, back in March. The album featured Black's biggest hit to-date, "Tunnel Vision."
