You might find yourself without a phone, maybe your phone died and need to make a quick call well the Downtown Seattle Public Library has installed free phones that anyone can use.

The library staff intent for these phones is to help out the homeless. It is now a source they can use to get in contact with jobs, waiting list for housing and any other means. There are some restrictions on the phones though. You are only allowed 10 minute calls to local numbers with the area code 206 and some 425 and 253. You also cannot receive calls, only make them.

Hopefully people will find good use out of them.
